SURPRISING END TO MANATEE GANG BANG

Manatee mating is a clumsy affair.  The males don’t have thumbs. The females are too roly-poly for males to be able to grab them and hold them still with their flippers long enough to complete the act.  It takes place in shallow water.  Either the males chase the female into the shallows or the female leads them there (depending on the unfathomable mind of a female manatee in heat).

Once the males have her more or less securely confined they hurl themselves out of the water and land on the female, attempting to rock her enough to enable themselves to roll sideways and slip under her long enough to complete the sperm delivery.

Last summer in Florida, after about 16 hours or so of this bombardment, one presumably exasperated female had clearly had enough and came up with a way of discouraging the overly exuberant male gang.

See the surprising way the crafty female outfoxes the boys.  Spoiler alert;  you’re not gonna see this at Sea World or any other theme park!IMG_0846IMG_0825IMG_0812

She said NO and she meant it!
