Who Wants to Harm FBI? Criminals, That’s Who. D-u-u-uh!

Yeah, it’s not rocket science.  The FBI protects us all–from some really bad, bad stuff.  So why would President “Fat Donnie” want to kneecap the agency?

Years ago I used to fence saber against an FBI agent–generally unsuccessfully.  We never discussed politics, religion, his work, my work, or anything else very much.  We just fenced saber, sometimes in parking lots if there wasn’t any better venue available.   I had to get an elbow guard because his damn passing attacks were just beyond me to stop or even partly parry.  No quarter was given or expected.  It was more like street fighting than fencing.  That whole “right of way” stuff was by the boards.  It was more like “kill or be killed”.

It was brutal.  And fun!

And it was helpful in one notable incident.  Some street thug came up and threatened me in St. Thomas when I was carrying one of those collapsible umbrellas that you can put in your briefcase.  This thug had just followed six St. John women down the waterfront, screaming abuse and threatening them.  So I followed him because it looked as if things might get out of hand.  (Those dumb women were just encouraging him by fleeing and acting scared.)

They scooted into a coffee shop and the guy turned around and saw me.  He started getting in my face.  So I gave him two quick, hard saber cuts across the face with the collapsed umbrella.  It had to hurt, but it wouldn’t really do any damage.  That shut him the hell up.  It was the last time he bothered any of us St. John commuters when we got off the downtown ferry.

But one time my FBI fencing opponent  did say “You think you know what bad is.  You don’t.  And you don’t want to know.”

I believed him.

There was a secret obstacle course up in the hills of St. John that another local athlete had set up specifically for extreme training.  He said FBI agents from Puerto Rico worked out there.  He introduced me to a couple.  One day I was in the gym in St. Thomas lifting weights.  I walked into another room & these guys were lifting enormous poundage.  No one else was in the room and one of them said quietly “Nobody knows who we are here”.  I knew what he meant, didn’t speak or even pause, just turned around and walked out and did toe raises on a different machine instead.  Whenever I saw them around I never spoke, looked at them or away from them, just did not in any way betray that I’d even seen them.  Because I knew they probably weren’t on vacation.  They were working–on serious stuff.

The Caribbean’s a real dangerous place.  All of these FBI guys were the kind you’d be glad to have in your foxhole–if you weren’t a coward or dead weight as far as fighting capability.  I wouldn’t want them in my foxhole if I was a f–k-up though.  They seemed like the kind of guys who might toss you out if you couldn’t hold up your end of the foxhole.  These were clearly very dangerous people.

I mention this because the sliming, derision, and maltreatment of the elite law enforcement agency, the FBI, by Fat Donnie Trump, mini-him Jeff Sessions and other Russian apparatchiks is doing great harm to all of us.  Not to mention, it’s sooooo lowdown.  They do not deserve this s–t.

To digress for a moment–even though I’m told that Jeff Sessions is actually the Keebler elf, I think he’s more like an orc that was once an elf until evil got its hooks into his tiny carcass.

Sessions seems intent on incarcerating and/or destroying anyone who purveys, profits from, or benefits from legal medical (or legal recreational) marijuana.

Why?   The obvious answer would be that, for unfathomable reasons, Sessions wants to help Mexican drug lords protect their profits from illegal weed.  And they want to help him limit legal alternatives to their illegal products.  Just how much do “we the rabble” know about where and from whom Jeff Sessions got campaign donations when he was foolishly running for president.   (Even our eclectic voters had to know the country would never hold still for being governed by another species.  Sorry, no orcs for president.)

What other logical reason presents itself?  How hard would it be for those vicious drug cartels to funnel donations to the little weasel?   Does Sessions seem like the kind of guy to turn his nose up at the prospect of wads of dirty cash?  He’s a beggar from a beggar state that the rest of us subsidize to the tune of $2.46 for every dollar of federal tax revenue.  Having one’s hand out is a way of life in Alabama.  You do the math.

And Trump and the rest of his Russian-financed cabal, uh, I mean consultants, seem more determined to get rid of anyone who stands between him and a willing patsy who would fire Robert Mueller to put an end to his investigation of Fat Donnie’s favors from Putin.

Was Fat Donnie was doing something more troublesome in Russia than having prostitutes pee on him?  Like, oh, say, mega money laundering maybe.

The FBI badasses–and they are that, despite their buzzcut hair styles and 1950’s dress code–are desperately trying to keep the likes of Fat Donnie and his apparatchiks from dismantling our democracy forever.  They have their hands full just trying to keep track of all the hoodlums in the White House and in Fat Donnie’s circle of questionable cohorts.

My hypothesis is that Putin bought outright or extorted Fat Donnie to run for president.  Fat Donnie’s his man, bought and paid for.  He was specifically recruited by Putin, who helped him get elected, for the purpose of damaging our democracy and thus limiting the power of Putin’s most powerful opponent.  At least that’s my working hypothesis.  (I suppose I could possibly be wrong.)

And, I think maybe real law enforcement men like Robert Mueller and the FBI agents (AKA real men) are Fat Donnie’s worst nightmare.  He can’t slime them out of the picture as he does most of his enemies.  He can’t lie them away, he can’t buy them off.  They are dogged and relentless and they know the difference between real facts and truth from made up BS peddled by our decidedly unmanly, waddling president, Fat Donnie.

You can blow all the farts out of your mouth that you want Fat Donnie, it won’t save you.  Real men (and women) of the FBI are comin’ for you and the rest of the crooks.

My money’s on them for finding the truth.  Who knows, truth might even be stranger than fiction.  Maybe Fat Donnie will be exonerated.  But I doubt it.

Whose side are Fat Donnie and Sessions the Keebler Orc on?  Not “we the rabble” that’s for sure.

Alabama; Taker State Gets $2.46 for Every $1 Paid in Fed Taxes

Sooo, can it be true that we’re all subsidizing beggar state Alabama, which has its hand out to the tune of it receiving a 246% ROI (return on investment) from “we the rabble”?   Their investment?  Why it’s the pittance the poverty-stricken state actually pays in federal taxes.  No wonder they’re so “wut’less” as they’d say in the Caribbean.  It pays off bigly–to borrow from a well known serial chiseler–for Alabama to be a beggar.

When Alabama talks about draining the swamp, maybe we should say “You first”.

And to add insult to injury many of these folks wanted to send to the U.S. Senate a man so disrespectful of the U.S. Constitution that he had to be removed from the state Supreme Court in Alabama twice.  That was  because he was intent on enshrining his religion in public policy and spaces despite the pesky freedom of religion protections specifically enumerated in the very document he was sworn to uphold.   Last I heard he still hadn’t conceded either.

Soooo,  Moore presumably swore to uphold the Constitution.  He must  have had to in order to hold a position on the bench in the first place.  And then he refused to abide by that  oath.  Then, uuhhhh, doesn’t that make him de facto a liar at best, a seditious traitor at worst?

While everyone was focusing on his sexual antics Moore got a total pass on his repeated refusal to act, as a public official, within the constraints of the Constitution.  That seems a lot worse than hitting on teenyboppers.

There was an article in the news recently about Alabama having the highest poverty rate in the nation–equivalent to some third world countries.

Maybe if we stopped giving them so much for nothing in the way of other states’ tax dollars spent vs. Alabama tax dollars received, these folks would get their ass in gear and start working for a living.  Maybe we should make them pay their fair share.

Yes.  Why not take Alabama, one of the biggest welfare queens among the 50 states,  off the dole until their elected officials recognize the Constitution as a binding document and until they go to work?  No more freebies.

To quote from a famous “Nazi” on the old sitcom Seinfeld,  “No soup for you!” Alabama.

What would Jesus say?

“Get off your lazy butts.  Idle hands are the devil’s workshop, or hadn’t ya heard?”

Trump, GOP Sliming Brave San Juan Mayor Is Contemptible

Trump and his chump change colleagues really hit bottom the past few days, trashing San Juan’s gutsy mayor, who has demonstrated great leadership and compassion under extreme duress.  Trump and his sleazy, lilliputian GOP apparatchiks bitching about Ms. Cruz’s performance was like criticizing someone who’s just been run over by a Mack truck because they didn’t carry the stretcher to the ambulance and drive themselves to the hospital.  This is not how people of quality behave!

Watching those dirtbags slime Ms. Cruz was infuriating.  They were an embarrassment to our country.  Jeez, could they do something less distasteful like maybe just go back to quietly cheating us out of travel reimbursements or something?

Trump’s performance as president thus far demonstrably disqualifies him from making any sort of useful observations about leadership, a quality which he is decidedly neither imbued with nor seeking to acquire.   He knows not of leadership because he just doesn’t possess the full complement of knowledge, skill sets and emotional range to understand those whom he would lead.  Trying to explain to him wherein lies his ignorance of leadership would be like trying to explain the color red to a congenitally blind person.  He’s not got it and he’s not gonna get it either.

And, speaking of leadership, aside from the shocking paucity of moral and humane responses to millions of our countrymen and women suffering, one would have thought that the feckless White House occupant et. al. would at least look to their own self interest.

But the distinct impression these folks leave is that they think Latina/Latino voters will forget this.  In the first place, everyone knows that the “Latino vote” is by no means monolithic.  Mexican Americans have different priorities and issues than Cuban Americans, who differ on many subjects from Puerto Ricans, who don’t necessarily share the views of folks with Central American ancestry who…well, you get the picture.  But despite the differences,  I can guarantee you that the “they” of whom our meathead president spoke when dissing Mayor Cruz, know when “they” have been insulted.  And I suspect “they” will remember it for at least a couple of election cycles.  Nice strategizing there, GOP.

And it was only a few hours after Trump made that insulting remark about “they want everything done for them” before I heard some illiterate (literally) jerk where I live repeating with kneejerk stupidity that very same Trump doctrine.

No.  They don’t.  They are American citizens and Puerto Rico (and the U.S. Virgin Islands) are American soil.  Period.  When there’s no power, no communication, no fuel,no water and no food, and no plausible way to ameliorate that lack, there’s only so much “they” can do.  “They” are part of us.

Actually, I think Trump’s just pissed off because someone pulled his own stunt against him in Puerto Rico.  He licensed his name to a casino company for a resort and golf club in Puerto Rico.  That company welshed on the licensing fees, then declared bankruptcy, changed the name, and left Trump’s organization holding the bag for an unspecified sum.  Basically, they out-Trumped Trump.  No wonder he’s sulking.  Too bad it’s the people of Puerto Rico who are having to pay the price in the form of seemingly deliberately drawn out  hurricane relief.

Some leaders, no?  No.  Those commie-loving Trumpsters and their GOP Putin-poodles in congress are so busy giving away the farm that they wouldn’t know true patriotism or leadership if it bit ’em in the ass.

Back to Trump and the GOP dumping on Mayor Cruz–do these assholes even know anything about Puerto Rico and its native sons and daughters? Do they not realize that it’s been a European-developed island since the early 1500’s? It was a powerhouse in the Caribbean more than a century before the Pilgrims even showed up in the New (relative term) World.

Oh, right.  I forgot. Trump doesn’t know any history.  (Not to digress but, what the hell were they teaching at the expensive schools from which he supposedly graduated?)  Apparently his little cadre of heel clickers either doesn’t either or won’t admit to it.

Yeah.  Some leaders.

What would Jesus say?  The same thing Lin-Manuel Miranda said about Trump re: dissing Mayor Cruz.  “You’re going straight to hell.”

Steve Bannon’s Channeling Barney Fife of Mayberry

Every time I see Steve Bannon’s image on TV I get this inner vision of Barney
Fife, clumsily getting his bullet out of his pocket and fumbling with his gun.

Instead of manliness, Bannon’s twitchy ranting channels Barney Fife from Mayberry.  For those who’ve never seen seen the TV series or its reruns, Deputy Sheriff Barney was so jumpy and nervously inept he was always discharging his firearm accidentally.  So the sheriff only allowed him to have one bullet, and Barney had to keep it in his shirt pocket as a matter of public safety.  Barney’s amusing swaggering and faux macho posturing, especially in innocuous situations which entailed no threat whatsoever, fit classic Bannon psychodrama.

Obviously Steve Bannon’s a legend in his own mind. His sour grapes rant
after being fired was hilarious.  Honestly, did he really say “I’ve got my
hands are on my old weapons”? Surely he didn’t say that the Trump
presidency is over just because he got fired. Did he?  Tell me no.

What about “I will crush the opposition.”  Who is the opposition, anyway?
The American people who don’t want to be nazis or KKK members?

How did the people who hail Bannon as a “populist hero” (oh, brother) miss the part where Bannon said they were a “bunch of clowns”?     That means his peeps are de facto not exactly alpha male material.  (People who would bow and scrape to a grubby guy who calls them clowns seem more like a bunch of self loathing masochists.)

Barney never realized that he was a joke and I suspect Bannon doesn’t
either.  He probably isn’t getting it that he’s just a fat, grumpy old white guy whose sole claim to fame is that he’s the wealthy Mercer family’s bought-and-paid-for media whore/butt boy. (To borrow a phrase from Don Imus.)

Yep, ol’ Barney, uh, I mean Bannon, is gonna take the macho machine he
built, rev it up and take it on the road.  Uh huh.  Snicker, snicker.

Wake up girlie man. You’re just a narrow-minded old gossip who, like most gossips, deliberately appeals to folks’ worst instincts.  That’s not genius, and it’s not strategy either.  Sliming people and saying mean things is not strategy.  It’s tactics–and not good ones either.

GOP Loves Nazis, Hates Democracy, USA

So I see where the GOP’s constituents had a big parade and cosplay
party in Charlottesville, VA. They were on TV this past weekend
having a great time, wearing their Nazi garb, waving their treasonous
CSA flags, beating up people and intimidating them.  Y’know, the kind
of fun the GOP just loves.

And there were some people counter-protesting too, in civilian garb.
Real losers, huh?  The Charlottesville police were nice enough to let the Nazis
beat up the ones they could catch.  They even let one of them murder an
innocent woman.  Of course, after the cops let the Nazis and faux rebels
whip up on the civilians for awhile, then they made some ridiculously
oh-so-not-believable attempts to appear to be trying to protect the
unarmed civilians. But it was clear whose side they were on.

The police chief acted as if it was someone else’s fault that only four or
five arrests were made. Huh?  The cops were right there watching
people rioting and getting beaten up in front of them.  If they didn’t make
arrests, it’s because they didn’t want to.   Because, apparently, the Nazis
and faux confederates are their peeps. What else could account for their
refusal to stop assault and battery going on right before their very eyes?

Not to digress but, shouldn’t the Charlottesville Chief of Police be fired
for incompetence after such a fiasco?

Police normally have relatively little trouble quelling riots and/or
collaring people who are illegally assaulting someone right in front of them. But in this case it sure looked as if they didn’t want to stop the violence, as if they wanted the Nazis and faux rebels to beat up the civilians.

My guess is that, if it had been black guys instead of white Nazis beating
up people, those police batons, night sticks, pepper spray and more
would have been used liberally.

Not to be realistic, but, let’s just take a look at the loser regimes the
Nazis and faux confederates want to emulate and see how they fared in
the past.

The CSA lasted four years. The treasonous South caused hundreds of
thousands of deaths and was pretty much turned to rubble.  William
Tecumseh Sherman took the South’s measure and realized what it would
require to put down the rebellion. He marched from Atlanta to the sea.  He started by burning Atlanta to the ground and kept right on destroying everything in his path–including crops and livestock–until he reached the sea. Georgia was a wasteland when he was finished with it.

Richmond, Charleston, Savannah, etc. were ravaged as well by the end
of the Civil War.

And it was all because white Southerners thought they should be able to base their economy on the stolen lives of millions of people, that they should be
able to own other human beings. (Those are “states’ rights” they’re
always going on about.)

Then, just to make things even worse for the South, another mindlessly
vicious idiot Southerner, John Wilkes Booth, murdered the one person in
the country who might have helped rebuild the South, Abraham Lincoln.
That was the end of “reconstruction”.  As a result the South was ground into the dirt for nearly a hundred years.

Losers! Looooosers!

The price?  Incalculable. But, apparently, that lesson has been lost on
the people we all saw on TV rioting in Charlottesville for the last couple
of days.

How great would these Charlottesville faux Nazis/CSA rebels have thought slavery was if they were the ones being bought and sold, brutalized and treated to the most horrific torments?  Would they be as enthusiastic about slavery and the confederacy under those circumstances?

Fast forward to the 20th century and Hitler’s vaunted “Thousand Year
Reich”.  Turns out he and his dumbass dweebs botched their war too, in
part because the guy they thought was so great was stupid enough to try
to fight on two far-flung fronts.

It was actually the “Twelve Year Reich”.

So much for the wisdom of following some uneducated screwball whose
plan for world domination is based on stealing everything from a very
wealthy minority and murdering the people stolen from, through mass
asphyxiation. (Who even thinks such things, let alone does them?)  It’s
incomprehensible and yet, here these people are again, on TV, going on about
what a great leader Adolph Hitler was.

The CSA confederates and the Nazis both ruined their countries and
were responsible for millions of deaths. For a combined 16 years in power.

Hmmm. That was really worth it, no?  No!

And now we have a bunch of ignorant thug followers/admirers of our
president rioting in the streets under Nazi and confederate flags. (And
I’ll bet every last one is a registered republican.)

Unfortunately, we all wind up having to pay for their brutality and
stupidity.  They’re more than just a royal pain in the ass.  They’re

What is incomprehensible is that they’re lucky enough to have been born
in a free country and they are just pissing on it as if it were worthless.
They say they want to “take back our country”.   But what they really
mean is they want to take away everyone else’s prerogatives. They want
to take away our country; “we the people’s” country.  They want their
share and ours.

And don’t forget–they’re all republicans. The GOP courted them. The
GOP sucked up to them. The GOP loved them when it was election time.
I think the GOP loves them still but it’s just not practical at the moment
for them to admit it.

Unfortunately, it seems as if the GOP hates America. They prefer Russia
and its totalitarianism. Keep it in mind.  I think at some point we’re
supposed to have another election, although, given what the GOP has shown me in the past few months, I’m not counting any chickens on that score.

Here’s a suggested campaign slogan for the GOP that seems to fit their world view and behavior. “Vote Republican.  We’re not putting people in ovens. Yet.”

Why KKK Folks Choose to Wear Dunce Caps

It’s always been something of a mystery why any group would voluntarily
pick dunce caps as part of their official uniform. But the KKK chose
long ago to include that traditional insignia of stupidity as emblematic of
their beliefs and world view.

Now, after the last few days, it’s obvious why they made that choice. They revere ignorance, stupidity and brainless violence.  They celebrate it.  They obviously want to present themselves to the world as dummies and dunces because they are proud of it.

Nothing says “duh, I’m an idiot” like voluntarily wearing dunce caps–in public no less.  It sends a message all right–that is, that they like being dumb and ignorant. They don’t just approve it, they actually applaud it.  They work at it.

Here in America I suspect that under normal circumstances the KKK has
nothing to do with most of our lives.  Their kind of living isn’t even on our
collective radar screen.  Or at least it wasn’t until the last few days.

That’s changed.  They have pushed their unwanted, ugly ways into our

When the KKK’s demented knuckledraggers say they “will take back our country” what they really mean is that they want to take our country, and the values “we the rabble” hold dear, away from us.

Too bad.  It’s not “their” country to take.  It belongs to all of us, whether they like it or not.

F–k them!  They can’t have what belongs to all of us.  Maybe we’re the ones who should “take back our country” from the altRight, the nazis and the KKK.   Maybe they need to find someplace else to practice their backwards ways.  Maybe we should confine them somewhere so they can’t continue disrupting and infecting our public life.

I hear Alcatraz is empty, and difficult to escape.

There ya go KKK boys and girls. I’ve found the perfect spot for you.

No, no, don’t thank me.  Glad to be of help.  Now, please–leave!

And BTW, KKK, Jesus does NOT love you.

What would Jesus say?  “Crush them like the icky bugs they are..”

Media Once Again Its Own Worst Enemy

The media, in its frenzy to nail Trump to the wall, seems to be misrepresenting Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ possible involvement in Russian election meddling in 2016.  (And I am no Trump fan or hater.)  The media seems to be pushing the line that Sessions was, demonstrably, interacting with Russian official Sergey Kislyak regarding campaign issues.

But what is being referred to are supposed recordings of Kislyak telling his bosses that he’d had conversations with Trump about the campaign.  Yeah, why wouldn’t we all take Kislyak’s unsupported word for it?  Isn’t he a nice Russian spymaster (as opposed to, oh, say, Putin)?  Now in most of the media stories about this subject, way down near the end of the article it will say something about this information only being Kislyak’s unsupported assertions.

But lots of people don’t read to the end of an article, they just skim for general content.

This is exactly the kind of thing which makes people think all news is fake news.

What seems most disconcerting about the whole Russia election meddling issue is that the GOP appears to be no different from a commie fan club/cabal which, unfortunately in this case,  has managed to take over the USA’s government and is busily undermining the constitution and rule of law.

Why on earth would Trump, his supporters, or the GOP want to undermine an investigation into how extensive this Russian intrusion into our sovereign political process was during 2016?

Enquiring mind wants to know.
